| A drawing was held on the last day of classes for all of the students who had perfect attendance for the year. Eighth grader, Brianna Fant's name was drawn. She recieved $100 from an anonymous donor. Congratulations, Brianna! |

McCants Middle School has been named as a winner of the South Carolina Palmetto Gold Award given to schools attaining high levels of absolute performance, high rates of growth and substantial progress in closing achievement gaps between groups of students. Only 25 of 245 middle schools in the state achieved this honor. Congratulations to students, teachers, and staff!
