Welcome to the McCants Homepage. We hope you find the following information enjoyable and beneficial. McCants middle School, located in Anderson School District Five, is the largest middle school in Anderson County with a student population of 1274 in grades six through eight.

McCants has many academic and artistically gifted students who perform well in and outside the classroom. We were notified recently that we had 46 students named “South Carolina Junior Scholars.” McCants consistently ranks among the best middle schools in South Carolina. The Anderson community is made up of many civic and business leaders who came through McCants and went on to be very successful in high school, college, work and life. We are very proud of our present and former McCants students.

Our faculty is second to none when it comes to providing academically challenging classroom experiences. We feel that our students are well prepared to be successful in high school after leaving McCants Middle School. Our teachers put in many hours outside the classroom to ensure that our students are provided the best education possible.

Our parents are actively involved in the education of their sons and daughters. We have many parents who volunteer their time and effort to make McCants a better place for our students to learn. We also have one of the most active middle school PTA organizations in South Carolina.

We invite educators, parents and community leaders to visit our school and ask questions so that they can be better informed about our school and our programs. Our school motto is “We Are Building A Better World, One Student At A Time”.
